I just spent ages commenting on this post I reblogged.
It was stuff about girls wearing too much makeup, having piercings & big hairto get billions of notes and how they are ‘fake’.
Well tell me then. What exactly is fake?
Lets say for example a woman gets her boobs done. Presumably this ignorant person has labelled the woman as ‘fake’. But how do you know she is fake? You do not know her. Sometimes there are conditions. Lets say this woman who has had a boob job hasn’t had a happy life. She’s been bullied all her life for being ‘ugly’ and she’s never felt good enough. Maybe she just doesn’t have enough confidence in herself.
Did you ever think of that?
Now lets use myself as an example.
I’ll admit I wear too much makeup for a 14 year old.
But you know what? I don’t care. I LIKE wearing makeup. No, it’s not because I want to impress boys (I go to an all-girls school) NO its not because I care about how people look at me. It’s because it makes ME feel better about myself. I love experimenting with makeup and I’ve developed it into a part of my style and how I want to appear. I’ve chosen who I want to be.Moving on to hair.
Apparently big hair is ‘fake’ as well.
I tease my hair with hairspray most days.
Again. I LIKE doing my hair. It’s fun and it takes up some of my empty time. It gives me something to do.
My hairstyle was cut so that it was meant to be teased so you know what, Imma tease the hell out of my hair until it falls out.
What gets me is that these supposed ‘real’ girls have the nerve to be bitchy to people they do not know behind the comfort of their safe little computer screens. That seems pretty ingenuine to me. You would never go up to a person in real life and say ‘Ugh you’re SOOO fake’ would you?This rant (if anyone reads this) isn’t about putting the girl that posted that ignorant blog post down. It’s about standing my ground and explaining that everyone is equal.
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO PUT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING INTO CATEGORIES OF WHO IS ‘REAL’ AND WHO IS ‘FAKE’.
If you do then what makes you so special? I don’t mean to be rude I’m just trying to say that there are no God-like figures that are superior enough to judge people they do not know. Look around you. Your shit smells like everybody elses haha.The real ingenuine ones are those insecure enough about themselves that they think they can take this lack of confidence and use it to put someone else down and label them as ‘real’ or ‘fake’.
If you are confident enough to embrace your natural beauty then go ahead! I praise you! All I’m saying is don’t be so hard on those who don’t have that confidence in their natural beauty and feel the need to wear makeup.
At the end of the day we are all people who want to find our place.
Whether you wear no makeup or wear tons of it. You are awesome.End of rant sorry :S
